Practice Facilities & Teaching Studio
The driving range is 300 metres long and has a fully grassed tee deck with seven target greens. The range caters to even the longest hitters and has an Ezline Tee strip at the back of the tee offering perfect golf conditions 365 days of the year. The driving range is open to the public and golf balls can be purchased from the golf shop.
The driving range is open daily from 7.30 am till 7 pm. Tokens can be purchased from the Golf Shop between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm.
Short Game Facility
Our short game facility offers every possible chipping, pitching, and bunker combination. Every effort has been made to prepare you for playing our courses with course-like green speed, swales, and greenside run-offs to provide consistent conditions throughout.
The short game facility is for members only. The daily short game practice fee is $30, available for purchase at the Golf Shop.

As a young golfer, I have represented New Zealand internationally and played interprovincial events for Otago and Southland. Scoring par at St Andrews in the World Schools Finals and finishing second has been my most memorable golfing experience. Keeping up to date with the latest hardware technology and development is a passion, with club fitting, building and repair a speciality of mine.
The teaching Studio at Wainui is a purpose-built instruction, fitting, and teaching facility. The building offers video and flight scope technology able to film and measure a club’s position in the swing, ball speed, shaft, and face angle and give the golfer accurate shot information in a perfectly controlled environment no matter what the weather.
The Studio at Wainui is designed to improve your golf game and have your equipment custom-fitted in a seamless process. Preferred suppliers of Titleist, Ping, Mizuno, and Wilson staff

At Wainui, we encourage junior golf with programmes to develop skills at all levels. Golf teaches respect, discipline and patience and is a great game for young people. The new course and facilities at Wainui offer the perfect training ground to learn the game of golf.
The Junior Introduction and Junior Development programmes are 8-week courses that run in conjunction with the school terms.
