An Outstanding Golf Club

Home to the latest Puddicombe Golf Design championship layout in the rolling hills of Wainui, the course stands apart as one of the finest golf layouts in the North Island, if not, New Zealand as a whole.

The Wainui course is an 18-hole, 6485 metre par 72 course that excites scratch golfers and challenges novices. The course incorporates the natural topography of the New Zealand countryside and captures the rugged beauty of Kiwi landscapes.

Coupled with two multi-sport courts and a nine hole short course with holes ranging from 65 – 135 metres in length whether you're new to the game, a scratch player, or a social player and merely enjoy healthy outdoor activity there is truly something for everyone.

We recently aired on the first edition of the Holden Golf World 2017 season. The lead story showed Wainui during the Grand Opening with strong comments from our club President and NZ Prime Minister, Mr. John Key.

Just after opening we hosted two course raters that are involved in the "Top 100 courses" ranking global ranking site, click here to view our first official ranking.

A Dining Destination

Wainui features a contemporary clubhouse location with The View outlet as its main dining option, offering a varying menu based upon fresh locally sourced ingredients.

Fresh, local, inviting, The View is open for lunch and dinner and is fast becoming a top stop for both relaxed quick bites and more sophisticated evening dining. True to its name The View offers picturesque vistas of the Wainui countryside and golf course.

Complimenting this outlet the surrounding Waterfall Patio and Alfresco area offers outdoor seating to enjoy the breezy summer days while watching your mates come up the 18th fairway.

Should you desire to host a special function, party, or event Wainui offers several club rooms of varying sizes to address your specific needs. Whether a stand up function, an outdoor wedding, or plated dinner service we’re sure you’ll enjoy hosting your group in our humble surroundings.

Health

With two multi-sport courts for Member access Wainui is more than just golf. Seen as the first additional amenity these courts are marked for tennis, pickleball, basketball, and netball. Future proofing the facility for other healthy outdoor activity these courts will be available for use through all categories of Membership.
